This collection contains 23 photographs from the Paragon Mining Company.
Paramount Mining Company papers
This collection contains several geological surveys and reports pertaining to the mines of northern Idaho, at the request of the Paramount Mining Company. It also contains information relating to stockholders of the company, as well as some documents relating to other mines in the area.

John J. Peebles papers
John J. Peebles was a professor of civil engineering at the University of Idaho from 1963 to 1972. The papers include materials that he used for the recovery of the base line established near Boise in 1899 for the control of topographic surveying in southwestern Idaho, and materials relating to the Atlantic Steam Shovel.
Pat Cary Peek papers
The research files from author and educator Pat Cary Peek, wife of University of Idaho professor James Peek. Together the Peeks spent significant time exploring and studying Idaho’s wilderness areas. They spent time at the U of I’s Taylor Ranch research station, an experience which formed the basis of Pat’s book “One Winter in the Wilderness.” The ranch is also connected to the story of David “Cougar Dave” Lewis, another topic that Pat wrote about.
E.N. Pennebaker Maps
The Edwin Noel Pennebaker Mine Plat Maps span the years 1928-1958. The collection consists of two books containing mine plat maps to accompany Pennebaker’s report on the Sunshine and Polaris Mines; mineral survey maps of the Evolution Mining District, Shoshone County, Idaho; and other maps and plans.
