Biographical / Historical

Rollo Percy Perkins was born 30 August 1905 in Brule, Wisconsin to William and Emma Perkins. He married Helen Wells in 1934 in Post Falls, Idaho and they lived in Princeton, Idaho. He worked as a U.S. Forest Service ranger and Forest Supervisor before retiring in 1967. Perkins died 28 October 1999 in Soap Lake, Washington.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Rollo Perkins donated the diaries in 1984 along with the typescript which was a gift from the Latah County Historical Society.

Existence and Location of Originals

The typescript was gifted by the Latah County Historical Society. They have the original to the best of our knowledge.
