Biographical / Historical

The University of Idaho Dames was a student organization established at the University of Idaho in 1941 as a branch of the National Association of University Dames. Ruby Cady (Mrs. L. C. Cady) was the club’s instigating founder, and she served as sponsor to the club for its first eleven years. Membership of the club was open to student wives at the university, including wives of university students and married female students. The organization aimed to promote community among its members and offered consistent monthly meetings and events organized by elected club officers.
