Content Description
Photographs P1 – P1500. Historic photographs cover various topics relating to the Nez Perce - Clearwater National Forest and Forest Service activities, predominantly dating from the early- to mid-20th century but also incorporating dates in the late 20th century. Topics and activities portrayed in photographs include rangers and other forest employees; flora and fauna; hunting and fishing; forest buildings and historical structures; logging and timber management; fire lookouts and fire management; road, trail, and other construction projects; forest landscapes; and tours, parties, and cultural activities.
This is Part 1 of a larger accession relating to the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest Forest Service Historical Photograph Collection. The original transfer includes over 40 additional document boxes of images. Additional parts will be created as more of the collection is processed.
