Carla Emery was a believer in self-sufficiency and the “back to the land” philosophy. Her papers include correspondence, manuscripts, videocassettes, various editions of her book Old Fashioned Recipe Book, and class schedules of the School of Country Living, which she opened in Kendrick, Idaho in 1976.
