Mark B. Calnon, Sr., was a University of Idaho alum and a United States World War II Veteran. Calnon was shot down and captured by German soldiers. He spent time as a prisoner of war in Stalag Luft III and Stalag VII-A. He was witness to many terrible things as a POW, but never regretted serving his country.
