John Lorenzo Aram was a University of Idaho alum. His family was one of the first five to homestead in the Camas prairie area. He worked for Potlatch Forest, Inc., Boise-Payette Lumber Company, and Weyerhauser. This collection includes family history, photographs, and other personal papers of John L. Aram.

Biographical / Historical

John Lorenzo Aram was born on September 19, 1912 to James and Phoebe (Smith) Aram in Joseph, Idaho. The Aram family was the fifth family to homestead on the Camas praire. He attended Grangeville High School, and graduated from the Unviersity of Idaho in 1936 with a BS in Business. From 1936 to 1949, he worked for the Clearwater unit of Potlatch Forests, Inc. He then took a position with the Boise-Payette Lumber company and eventually became president. He also worked for Weyerhauser. In 1987 he recieved a Doctor of Law degree from Gonzaga University. John L. Aram died on December 15, 2000.
