Financial Office Notebooks
Scope and Contents
The three notebooks in this record group are loose leaf three ring binders. Included are an Idaho accounting book, Appropriations history, and Secretary's information.
The Idaho Accounting Book, 1943-1953 is entitled "A Manual of procedure for the conduct of state business required under the general accounting system of the State of Idaho, for all department and institutions," and is dated October 1, 1943. It contains samples of the various accounting forms used by state agencies. Also included is an appendix dated July 1, 1953 listing expenditure and receipt classification codes.
The notebook entitled Appropriations history and Historical appropriations, 1940-1953 contains records of university income from various sources, each source being recorded on a separate page, and summaries of expenditures. Figures for some categories date from 1889, but figures are not available in all categories for all years.
The Secretary's Information notebook, 1959-1966, contains mailing lists, a list of legislators for 1960, the schedule of accounts for university divisions and departments, statements of fees and tuition for the years 1959/1960 to 1964/1965, business office working policies and procedures, and names and addresses of insurance carriers.
