College of Forestry records
Scope and Contents
The Records of the College of Forestry span the years 1924 to 1940, with the bulk of the material covering the years 1925 to 1935.
The papers include correspondence dealing with departmental matters and individual activities, reports, speeches, reprints of articles, typescripts of articles, and travel vouchers. Although the projects of several department members are included in these papers, the bulk of the material relates to the work of Ernest E. Hubert. The two major activities documented are Hubert's work on blister rust and F.G. Miller's work with the international commission assessing the damage caused by the Trail, B.C. smelter. Early issues of the mimeographed publication "Forestry Bulletin" are also present; volumes one and two are complete, volumes three and four have only a few scattered issues.

Abstract
Correspondence dealing with departmental matters and faculty activities, reports, speeches, reprints and typescripts of articles, and travel vouchers. Included are issues of the Forestry Bulletin, 1924-1927; and records of Ernest E. Hubert's work on blister rust and F. G. Miller's work with the international commission assessing the damage caused by the smelter in Trail, British Columbia.
Arrangement
The material in this archival group was originally arranged alphabetically by folder heading, thus separating folders on the same subject, e.g., the three folders headed "Blister Rust..." were separated from the "Correspondence" folders which also related to the blister rust work, by two unrelated folders, and from the expense vouchers, labeled "Fiscal", and other material. Likewise items dealing with the Trail smelter were not filed consecutively. Since this archival group is contained in a single box, no attempt was made to change this arrangement.
Most folder headings are self-explanatory. Where further information is desirable, i.e. the project involved, it is given in parentheses in the inventory list. The faculty member involved in the activity is also identified in the list.
