Record of Pupils’ AdvancementS
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of a commercially-produced record book used to document the academic progress of students. The donor, Mary Alice Bauer Wilson, found the record book among her mother’s personal papers. Mrs. Wilson’s grandparents, Jasper Alexander Litton and Mary Alice Bray Litton, had homesteaded in Lamont, Fremont County, Idaho in 1911. In her letter covering the gift of the item to the University of Idaho Library, Mrs. Wilson speculated that it had been among her mother’s papers because her father (Mrs. Wilson’s grandfather) had served on the district no. 69 school board. There is nothing on the record book to substantiate this speculation.
