Abstract
Case files of Silver City lawyer William Healy.
Arrangement
The majority of the papers of William Healy were folded in document folders, but were in no discernable order. During processing the papers were removed from the document files, unfolded, and placed in acid neutral file folders; the original case file headings were retained. The folders were then arranged alphabetically. Papers which were originally unfoldered were usually letters or court documents dealing with cases which consisted of one or two items. These were arranged alphabetically in a general alphabetical sequence and placed at the end of the specific folders.
Some of the papers in this record group showed signs of water and rodent damage and a few of these had to be discarded.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
The records of Silver City lawyer William Healy were donated to the University of Idaho Library by Mrs. Terry Murphy of Truckee, CA, via Judge Thomas Nelson of Boise in October 1996.
