The Orofino Group of mines was located near Murray, Idaho in the Summit Mining District, Shoshone County, Idaho. It consisted of four lode claims, the Banner, Orofino, Great Eastern and Old Slick.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

The records of the Orofino Group of mines are part of the records of Day Mines, Inc., donated to the University of Idaho by Henry L. Day in 1984 and 1985.
