Content Description

Homer David was born in on June 18, 1881 in Muscode, Wisconsin. In 1889, he and his family moved to Moscow, Idaho - the same year that the Unviersity of Idaho was founded. Eventually the family established themselves in the community, owning store fronts in town that failed and succeeded. They were the proprietors of David and Ely's Department Store (later David and Son's, then David's) in downtown on the corner of Third and Main Street.

Homer attended the Unviersity of Idaho and was very active on campus. He participated in the theater, managed the tennis team, ran in the unveisty's field day, and played baseball. Homer wrote many histories of the Moscow, Idaho area. Many of which can be found in the U of I Library catalog: https://www.lib.uidaho.edu. Homer died on April 27, 1971.
