Printing and Design photograph collection

 Collection — Container: Boxes 1-2
Identifier: PG 121

Scope and Contents

The 1991 accession was originally housed loosely in four separate boxes, labeled “Campus Scenes”, “Definite Department”, “Oldie Moldies”, and “People.” The individual prints had no order within each box, and in many cases similar subjects or duplicate images were found in multiple boxes. The images were primarily used in university publications, including the Alumni newsletter "Context," the Graduate Catalog, and internal university newsletter "Inside Idaho."

The 2003 accession was loosly organized by department or subject by Printing and Design Services.

The images were organized by department or topic. The majority do not have captions, identifications, nor dates. Those that do have captions or labels are listed in the finding aid. Some portraits were removed and added to the U of I Personnel Vertical File. Because the two accessions were processed at different times, there could be some duplication in subjects and folder titles.
