Biographical / Historical
Edward A. Stevenson was born on June 15, 1831 in Lowville, New York. Stevenson moved to the Idaho Territory in the early 1860s. He settled in the Boise Basin, and later re-entered politics. Former President of the United States, Grover Cleveland, nominated Stevenson to be the Idaho Territory Governor. He served in this position from 1885 to 1889.
