William B. Hall was a faculty member at the University of Idaho from 1965 to 1991. This collection includes a few thesis' turned in by students, and other class notes and papers pertaining to remote sensing imagery and aerial photography.

Biographical / Historical

Dr. William Bartlett (Bill) Hall was born on July 12, 1925 to Rufus and Frances Hall in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Princeton University with a BA in Geology after serving a few years in the United States Army. He later received a master's degree in Geology from the University of Cincinnati, and joined Pure Oil Company as a field geologist in Colorado and Wyoming.

William eventually earned his Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Wyoming. He then joined the University of Idaho faculty where he taught geomorphology, geologic hazards, field geology, aerial photography, and photo geology. His teaching career lasted from 1965 to 1991. William passed away on June 16, 2014 in Moscow, Idaho.
