Processing Information
Processed by Angelique Holt and Nathan Bender in 2006 with plans to be included as a Series in the Western Forest Insect Work Conference Archives. Taking in consideration the provenance of the materials, Laura Guedes decided that it justifies the creation of a manuscript group for itself.
"The Idaho Lands Department papers accession were originally ordered with a numerical office filing system. This numerical divide was not maintained, but the original order was. The Tussock Moth files were the 'State USFS's Condensed Files of the 1974 Douglas-Fir Tussock Moth Cooperative Control Project of Benewah and Latah Counties.'"
"Draft of Tussock Moth Project Plan and Originals used as Master Copies for Final Plan were originally divided with paper-clipped notes denoting master, multilith master, etc. This division was retained, these notes were copied onto acid-free paper and inserted into original divisions."
"'Forest Enthomology Archives' seem to contain the other end of the DFTM [Douglas Fir Tussock Moth] project. Info starts earlier, and continues on to follow ups. Also contains files on other pests with USFS filing numbers like the 'Idaho Lands Department' files." (Ms. Holt's notes).
