College of Mines and Earth Resources and the College of Science records
Content Description
The collection covered a broad field of documents including correspondence, letter and email copies, memos from secretaries, minutes of meetings, reports on enrollment and projects, and documents relating to the construction of new buildings. A majority of the materials are organized by year or semester when applicable, but others were organized by scope such as Centennial Project or photographs. There is a smaller portion of the collection from the College of Sciences Dean’s Office, including similar materials as the College of Mines like correspondence, minutes, and reports from the College of Mines. This collection also has a variation of maps, mostly about mining and a few scientific charts.

Most programs were shifted into science or engineering colleges instead. The buildings are still in place today though, including the Mines Building. Some of the maps are on the Galena Silver Mine outside of Wallace, Idaho, which has been in operation since 1947, and the Empire copper Mine in Mackay, Idaho that has been in operation since 1884.
