Biographical / Historical

This collection was put together by University of Idaho professor Steve Cooke, who was invited to investigate and gather research regarding local governments meeting federal mandates, the 1% Initiative, and the 1% Initiative's possible effects on small local governments. Cooke used information from the Magic Valley region of Idaho to analyze county spending and hypothesize how the Initiative would affect areas similar to that of the Magic Valley.

Arrangement

This collection is a combination of two accessions, both involving University of Idaho professor Steve Cooke. The contents were originally mostly in binders that were taken apart. The contents were sorted into folders and then organized into boxes for easier to navigation.
