Biographical / Historical
Mix was born May 31, 1933, in Moscow to Gale Mix and Doris (Brower) Mix. He graduated from Moscow High School and attended the University of Idaho. Gale Mix was an active staff member at the University of Idaho, including working as ASUI general manager, football coach, and more. His early business career was in the radio and television industry including ownership of radio stations in Moscow and Puyallup, Wash., and a stint as news director of the NBC TV station in Boise. This was followed by ownership and management of auto dealerships in Moscow and Mountain Home, Idaho and Honolulu. Mix passed away in 2023.
John Fitzgerald Kennedy, also known as JFK, was the 35th president of the United States, serving from 1961 until his assassination in 1963. He was the youngest person elected president at 43 years.
