Scope and Contents

The Coeur D’Alene Tribe has a tradition of a yearly mass at the Sacred Heart Mission. This collection contains photographs and a news clip from the 2000 mass. Moscow was a hub for agricultural shipping. There are photographs in this collection showing the last bastions of agriculture in Moscow in the early 2000s. Finally in this collection there are photographs of a University of Idaho Project to restore a mural.

Biographical / Historical

The mission of the Sacred Heart was the first meeting place the Coeur D'Alene tribe and Catholic Jesuit missionaries. The Church of the Sacred Heart Mission is the oldest building in Idaho. Also present are Moscow’s grain silos and seed mill.
