Biographical / Historical

This collection was created by Fred Cox. It contains the materials of his efforts to stop the erosion of the Priest Lake Thorofare. Priest Lake is located just 30 years south of the Canadian border and is surrounded by old growth forest. Frank Church in the '60s had it turned into a state scenic park. Boat traffic was causing significant erosion and many people including Fred Cox petitioned Bonner County and the State of Idaho to build a permanent water break.
