Biographical / Historical
The University of Idaho’s Affirmative Action committee was created to oversee university compliance with the affirmative action policy. It is a federal policy initiative in which a person’s nationality, sex, religion and caste are considered when hiring to extend employment or educational opportunities. The Affirmative Action committee now operates under the Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action office, aimed at supporting the university's compliance with the federal and state lawsy regarding discrimination, harassment, affirmative action and equal employment.
