Biographical / Historical
Adolph "Duffie" Miller was born in 27 January 1897 in Nykoring Mors, Denmark. He arrived in the United States via New York City on the vessel Norge in approximately 1898. He married Effie L. Powelson. He worked in various mines around Dixie and Elk City, Idaho, often employed as a furnaceman. Miller died in 1988 and was buried in Grangeville, Idaho.
Effie L. Powelson Miller was born in 1890 in Castle Rock, Washington to Howard Powelson and Emma May Boultinghouse. She married Duffie Miller. Effie Miller died in 1975 and is buried in Grangeville, Idaho.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
Materials were dropped off with the Information desk inside the Library on two occassions. The first was in May and the second in June. No donor information was gathered due to delivery method and signature on Deed of Gift is difficult to read.
Separated Materials
Photographs were removed from this collection and added to the already exisiting PG 023 Adolph Duffie Miller photographs collection.
