Biographical / Historical

Margaret Henderson was born in 1885 in Portland, Oregon. She met her husband Charles Arthur Strong when studying at the University of Idaho. The couple married and had five children: Charles, Peggy, Katherine, Elizabeth and Jean. After graduation Charles’ engineering career took them to Washington, where they periodically lived in the Yukon Territory, Seattle, and Tacoma. Margaret Henderson died in Palo Alto, California in 1975, she was 90 years old.
