Scope and Contents

The Young Life Club Adult Committee Records span the years 1970-1973 and consist of three folders of assorted documents. Included in the collection are membership lists, meeting correspondence, meeting minutes, financial documents, a calendar order form, newspaper clippings, and brochures. Topical focus of the collection centers around meeting proceedings, financial records, and student involvement in Young Life in the Lower Inland Empire (Moscow, Pullman, Spokane, etc.).

Biographical / Historical

Young Life is a national nondenominational club for Christian high school students. In the 1970s, Young Life in Moscow—the Moscow branch of the club—was led by Dan Evered, a graduate student in guidance and counseling from Washington State University. He worked closely with the Young Life Adult Committee, which managed finances, oversaw club proceedings, and organized events for student members of Young Life in Moscow. Young Life in Moscow was a chapter of the larger Young Life Club in the Lower Inland Empire (Southern Inland Empire Young Life), which encompassed Moscow, Pullman, Spokane, and other towns in the surrounding area.
