Biographical / Historical

Ralph Kizer, who donated the materials, was the Forest Supervisor of the Kaniksu and Idaho Panhandle National Forests in Northern Idaho. He was the chairman of the Inland Empire Society of American Foresters. He recieved his degree from the University of Idaho College of Forestry. He was bron in 1927 in Centralia, Washington. He died 29 September 2003 in Hayden, Idaho.

The oral history project was prepared as a cultural resource overview for the Colville and Idaho Panhandle National Forests.

Abstract

In this collection are tapes relating to the personal histories of twenty-two individuals in the Idaho panhandle, told by themselves. It also includes the dates of the interviews, and their release agreements.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Materials were donated by Ralph D. Kizer, forest supervisor for the Idaho Panhandle National Forests, in January 1983.
