Biographical / Historical
Michael L. Hoppus received his MS in Forestry from the University of Idaho in 1983. In 2019 he and a group of forestry colleagues decided on a project in which they would highlight eight individuals who have had significant impacts within the field of forestry. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the only paper written was by Hoppus about Robert C. Heller, a professor of forestry at the University of Idaho from 1974 to 1982. This paper also mentions Professor Joe Ulliman, Heller's colleague and a forestry professor from 1974 to 1998. Both of these professors served as mentors to Hoppus.
