Materials also concern Mabel Pring and her life assisting O. P. and as a homemaker.

Biographical / Historical

Oliver Perry Pring was born 17 August 1978 in El Paso County, Colorado. He moved to Lewiston, Idaho sometime between 1901 and 1903. He married Mabel Gregory on 25 January 1900 in Galveston, Texas. During the 1920s he was a general agent for Montana Life Insurance Co. in Spokane, WA and also served as a real estate broker for many years in Lewiston and the surronding communities. He was a past exalted ruler of the Lewiston Elks Lodge and past grand chancellor of the Knights of Pythias. O. P. died 24 July 1963 in Lewiston, Idaho.

Mabel Gregory was born 29 September 1878 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She marreid O. P. Pring on 25 January 1900 in Galveston, Texas. She moved with O. P. to Lewiston, Idaho sometime between 1901 and 1903. Mabel died 11 April 1961 in Lewiston, Idaho.

Abstract

Correspondence, articles, and business agreements relating to business deals of O. P. Pring and his family.

Arrangement

Materials were not in any order when processing began. Materials were seperated into three series. The first concerenced O. P.'s various business dealing including correspondence and agreements. The second series relates to correspondence with various family members and anything else not relating to business. The last series was oversized materials including books and ledgers.

The original donation also included materials which were seperated into MG 610, Frank and Olive Phillips collection. Olive was the daughter of O.P and Mabel.

Additionally, materials were removed during processing due to financial information and mold damage as well as duplicates.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Materials were donated by the estate of Farrell Dean Gregory, a great-grandson of Oliver and Mabel Pring in June of 2008.
