Biographical / Historical
Claude Y. Garber was born in Iowa in 1890. He moved with his family to Nampa, Idaho in 1902. He graduated high school from Nampa and then attended the University of Idaho where he graduated in 1917. He served in the Armed Forces in Europed during World War I. Following his marriage to Vera Everly in 1919, they moved to Kellogg, Idaho where Garber served as a mill superintendent, a position he would hold until his reitrement in 1955. Following his retirement, the Garbers moved to Coeur d'Alene. Garber died in 1974.
