Biographical / Historical

Higher education funding was signed into the United States law in 1965. This was a part of President Johnson’s Great Society agenda, and provided student loans, grant programs, teacher training programs, and many other aid opportunities. Today, the University of Idaho has a Financial Aid Office in the Bruce M. Pitman Center which helps bring assistance to students to help pay for higher education.
