Biographical / Historical

The first recorded example of sabbatical leave was established at Harvard University in 1880. Sabbatical leave spread across the other Ivy League schools and is now offered at most universities. Today, the University of Idaho's Sabbatical Leave is avaliable for members of the University's faculty who are tenured and completed six years of full-time employment.
