Biographical / Historical
United States Fish and Wildlife service is dedicated to the conservation and management of fish, wildlife, plants, and their habitats for the people of the U.S. The U.S Fish and Wildlife Service was founded in 1871. The Idaho Fish and Game Commission was created in 1938 following a voter initiative. It currently has 7 administrative regions across the state and a subregional office in McCall. Their headquarters is located in Boise, Idaho. Laura Sprague is a fish biologist/pathologist in Orofino, Idaho.

Materials were donated by Laura Sprague and delivered to the Special Collections department at the University of Idaho Library by Dr. Tom Waltzek in December of 2023.
