Biographical / Historical

Dennis Kimberling was born in 1963 to Helen Heppner and Mose Kimberling in Moscow, Idaho. He attended Moscow High School and the University of Idaho. At the University of Idaho he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in muisc. He married his wife Debra before they both moved to Friday Harbor, Washington where they worked as teachers. Kimberling conducted the community band, worked for the San Juan Island Performing Arts Center, and fished on the Puget Sound. In 1990, they returned to Idaho and worked for the Lakeland School District where he taught all levels of instrumental music. Kimberling became the gifted and talented facilitator for Lakeland secondary schools and initiated and coached the robotics team at Lakeland High School. He would become the educational director for Discover Technology, a nonprofit outreach organizaiton. He died on 5 December 2012.
