Biographical / Historical
The Snowstorm Mine is located at the eastern end of the Coeur d'Alene District, Northeast of Mullan, and 1 1/2 miles from the National Mine. This mine started in 1903 and stopped producing ore in 1915. As of 1923 it was developed to a depth of 1,600' by four shafts. It was noted as a large producer of copper ore. John Sekulic was one of the mine owners as of 1943.
