Biographical / Historical
Rafe (Raphael) Gibbs was an author and former University of Idaho director of information and publications. Ernest K. Lindley was the son of Ernest H. Lindley, President of the University of Idaho, and graduated from University of Idaho in 1920. Frank B. Sutherland was the Editor-in-Chief of the 1919 Gem of the Mountains and The University Arogonaut. All three men would have been around the University of Idaho around the time the nickname Vandal was coined.
