Abstract

This 'stick cymbal' was used by Dizzy Gillespie and then gifted to J.C. Heard after a concert in Detroit, Michigan, in 1968. ("Guernsey's Jazz Auction Catalog Addendum." Feb. 16, 2005, page 12. Jazz At Lincoln Center, New York).

Purchased at the Guernsey auction by Russell H. Vansant and donated to the IJC, in 2005.
