Scope and Contents
The majority of the collection is 35 mm negatives with contact sheets. There are some larger-sized negatives and prints as well. It is organized alphabetically by subject, with some unsorted or not clearly labeled images at the end. The photos were taken by or for the U of I Publications department. Only a few images have photographer information, some of which were taken by Leo Ames.
Second series includes photographs, negatives, contact sheets, papers, and slides.

1 Photographic Prints : BEST IDEA--Stephen R. Cook, a native of Boise and a junior majoring in architecture at the University of Idaho (left), shows University President Ernest W. Hartung how easily an envelope can be placed in the modern suggestion box which he designed for the president. Cook's box, selected by Hartung and Associated Students' President Jim Willms from among 30 others prepared by art and architecture students, will be mounted outside the President's Office in the Administration Building to provide yet another avenue of communication between students and President Hartung.
