Provenance
Kenneth Preston was a University of Idaho student from 1932-1936. He then worked with the CCC and USGS for Idaho. Shelly Preston Dumas is Kenneth's daughter and passed along all of these materials from her family. The Copeman's moved from the Mount Pleasant, Michigan area in the early 1900s when the Benewah reservation area was opened for homestead claiming. By 1920, the family had 3 claims in the area and moved to Coeur d'Alene where they held mortgages.
